So we land at LGA (from DC) right at 7:20 pm... and the Amnesty boatride boarding at 8pm all de way in Manhattan... pressure! Now this is a must-attend boatride - we did not fly all the way from DC for nothing. So de TJJ girls were driving like mad women, running red lights (almost hitting two cars). We hear this boat ride been sold out for days now and we determined to make it.

When we reach Pier 83, there was a long line of people waiting to get on de boat. Right nice, we on board now.... we good. But we have one new TJJ recruit from DC that was to meet us at de Pier and she ent reach yet. Oh well, let we go in and explore.

The boat had 2 floors, the bottom floor had the bar and food (this TJJ crew doh really drink so we went up to the top floor one time). It have rel people upstairs. We see all these pretty gyals looking all cute in their summer outfits & heels. But wait, it's only women dey invite on dis boat?? We feel like the Thief Head Crew and de DJs were the only men on this boat..... okay maybe not that bad but there were (and we quoting de DJ) "Fifteen women to one man." Man de competition real stiff to find ah man to wine on in dis boat, yes! Most women resorted to group wines.... seven to eight women wining on ONE HAPPY MAN!

So, de boat still boarding & we making our usual rounds meeting and greeting people. We then went by the window to see if our missing TJJ Rep reach yet... and we see people stormin' de boat - photo. Braps... we see a woman in heels jump onto the boat.... so you know we ent kiddin' when we say this is a must-attend boat ride! People were doing anything to make sure they got on de boat YES!

But wait, its after 9pm and the new TJJ recruit still eh reach? When we looked out the window again, we see her on the Pier as we about to sail out. Right next to her was de Corn Soup man, with his big pot of corn soup and plastic cups, scratching his head - photo .... but why he eh try to make it on time? Anyway, we waved to our friend (and the poor Corn Soup man) and told her we'll see her at the after party. Okay back to de action on the boat!

THC doh joke - they had the best DJ lineup - Back to Basics, Foreign Base, Natural Freaks and System Lord Int'l! The DJs played a mix of reggae, hip-hop and soca. Now everyone seemed to be enjoying the reggae and hip-hop, but when soca came on again it's like all de jumbies wake-up! But what de.... ah mean look at COMMESS! If you see dem girls with their lil' summer outfits and heels get on. We could not believe we eyes! Women lifting up men, men lifting up ah woman or 2.... we see ah woman rap her legs on ah man and doing de wheelbarrow wine.... Jeez! IT'S REL MADNESS IN DE PLACE! People were jumping from one side of the boat to the other. Dat boat was rocking rel hard... it was rel pressure trying to keep a steady hand to take pics on dis boat. And did we mention de full Rhythm Section dey had on de boat. Dem fellas were getting rel love from the ladies. And can you blame de ladies........ there were about 8 guys in de Rhythm Section & a boat full of women ..... DO THE MATH.

After the boatride was over, we stepped off hoping de Corn Soup man would be right there waiting for us. No such luck! But wait, we see de THC had taken de party outside forming their own rhythm section and singing along.... fellas keep your day jobs ... lol. And when security kicked them out, they moved the madness up to de parking lot. One word.... TRINIS!!!

All in all, we had ah good time. OK, we not encouraging storming, but we now understand why de stormas feel dey had to risk their lives to get on this boatride. We give the THC Amnesty Boatride the TJJ Official "Thumbs Up" rating . Next stop the after party at the Spa. We want some "Amnesty".... RAH RAH RAH!
