Trini Jungle Juice was on the prowl!! How ya mean... it was a HOT summer night and with foot hot to trot, it was no surprise that we were checking out the scenes at the 4th Annual "Weakness For Sweetness" fete. Held at Viva City, the place was packed when we arrived around midnight, it would seem that everyone had the same idea we did... "Leh we go lime nah!"

It was crazzy hype inside!!! From Halters to Marinas to Baby Tee's, all the ladies were reppin' their "Weakness for Sweetness" gear. Almost everyone had one on... Sweet!!

At that time, DJ Bass was on the turntables pumping out the soca tunes playing everyone's favorites from each and every Caribbean Island. The vibe was sweet and with Brenton B and E Man rockin da mic... the vibe was even sweeter! Beats were switched up and the reggae set came on, and of course "DUTTY WINE" was THE highlight tune and de girls... well yuh know de ting, who could do it better was de question.

Now even though we appreciate our soca and dancehall music, in came the house and old school. Dis is why we appreciate and love Soca Sweetness, not only can he jam soca music sweet but also he could jam de old school. He went BACK in de day and although he made a few fetegoers feel a bit old (we eh calling no names! lol) everyone enjoyed de set. From Will Smith with his Fresh Prince of Bel Air hit down to "dat girl is POISSSSOOONNN...", whaaaaatttt, everyone buss out de old school dances, trying do de electric slide and de hustle, even a little krumpin'!! It was all good!

Soca was played to end off the night, and what better than with Machel & Maga Dan's hit "Luv 2u 2nite" ... everyone chipping, hugging, slow wining down de line and to de exit doors. Yesss... it was sweeeet music and wid everyone sucking on de lolipops given to dem when dey came in, it was really a weakness for sweetness!

Sachsquash out.
