World Cup is over and what a tournament it was! So Italy are the champions, but every Trinbagonian stills feels like a winner. And to celebrate the performance of our national heroes PoisonUK hosted the UK based T&T footballers in this Celebration Party. A special thank you went out to Shaka Hislop who shortly leaves the UK for FC Dallas in the MLS.

The fete was at Masque Bar in Barbican, the usual venue for PUK after work limes this year. A few of the boys came out for a well deserved break – Shaka was there of course, Stern John, and Gillingham boys Ian Cox. Brent Sancho and Kelvin Jack also came out. Some people thought they saw Chris Birchall there too, but no - it was just one of the friends of TJJ.

PoisonUK regulars came to show their appreciation, and well... to fete of course. Things were looking a little quiet until Lyndon (of the Gladiators) throw down a big tune and some folks start to mash up the dancefloor with a crowd forming around them. It really started to kick off from there, and in usual Trini fashion the party started filling up late on, with people still coming in after 2am.

The footballers were having a good time, and even showing off some skills when 6 Carib was fallin' and Shaka and Kelvin instinctively dived low and saved 5 of them... not a drop spilt! The last one flew up high and Brent jumped to catch it. Unfortunately while he was jumping, something pulled him back... some lanky Englishman was seen running off and dancing like a robot. OK, so that didn't really happen that night, but everyone had a good time. So much so that nobody wanted to leave at the official closing time. So the doors were locked and then the private party started. (Sorry we are not allowed to report on what happened after that, but many people said that was the best party they went to in a long time!) ;-)

Thank you again to PoisonUK, and thanks to the T&T footballers who made it out. We now look forward to the continuation of PUK Boiling Point 2006.
