So is old years night and the streets of people looking for a good time to bring in the new year. Those that made it down to 51 Degrees for Black Velvet's "Shine" hit the jackpot. After setting a high standard last year, Black Velvet out did themselves this year putting on an event that was simply outstanding. Many returned from last year after having a ball and even brought some friends, so the dance was ram. Well it was ole years night so things were hectic for the TJJ crew with so much going on. We had so many commitments that we reach de dance at 2am and well allya dun know... we had to lime a bit and enjoy we-selves too!! :-) Ah mean come on, is Ole Years Night... even TJJ needs ah break!! We however, still tried to capture a small piece of the vibes going down which was still evident from wall to wall even at that hour. The partygoers all expressed satisfaction with the ambiance and it was truly a nice crowd.

On the outside food was served so yuh know we take ah taste and definitely two thumbs up. On the inside now the vibes was flowing with a lil' ole school vibes that really had everyone going. Ah little ole school for ole years never gets old!! Many crew and crews gathered outside on the boulevard. Maybe they heard about the vibes on the inside. They were out of luck as the event was strictly by tickets.

On the inside people were far from shy on the dance floor and even pranced their way over to the bar, which by the way was well stocked. Many patrons could be seen walking back from the bar smilin' and chippin' to the music with de next 'rounds' in hand. By the time TJJ got on the scene the champagne was starting to soak in and the party was nice. It was definitely one of the places to be to bring in the new year. Mr. Slaughter was seen by the bar taking in the vibes, and Ataklan was chillin on the inside as well. On the dance floor, world class cricketer Mervin Dillon could be seen dancing his heart out enjoying the vibes. The crowd was very diverse and the ladies were out in there numbers. We are sure that the crowd will continue to grow at this event. At around 4:30am when the music lock off and the lights came on people were still limin' fuss they didn't want to leave, and we're sure they will be back next year.

Big up to the Black Velvet family for bringing Shine to the people, this event has the TJJ stamp of approval. One of the ideal places to bring in the New Year if your looking for a good time, nice people and good vibes. TJJ will definitely be representing in full effect at the next Black Velvet Event (and yeah, we'll be sure to arrive early too). Happy New Year (again)!!
