So the awaited RAM Tour comes to the Toronto at Kool Haus with the featured acts of Machel Montano and Xtatik, Alison Hinds and the Sugah Band and the birthday boy himself, Rupee and the Dot Com band; what a combination eh? TJJ rolls up at around 11ish and we must say dat the crowd seemed kinda scarce when we walked in, but de Kool Haus packed up within the hour because people operating under West Indian time as usual. As we entered, Gemstone Intl Sound was gearing up the party patrons for the pandemonium dat was about to take place later on. Playing all de hit Soca tunes of both 2005 and 2006 and a touch of ole school Soca for the old dat came out to have a time. DJ Starting from Scratch also shared the turntables and of course blaze up de place. As everyone flexin down de place to de sweet chunes, host S.K.F comes out and alerts the crowd dat Mr. Machel has arrived. Well boy, who tell him to say dat... all de females rush to de front. As the chunes kept playing it was now time for de man himself to make his appearance.

Time to get delirious now... Machel runs out on the stage performing his signature dance, the 'Soca Willie Bounce'. If you see rags in the air and woman start to mash down de place wining on whoever man behind them... pressure, and of course de pulling and tugging of Machel's pants jus to make sure dat he really is here again! The women sure went crazy. Machel performs his hit tunes such as "Scandalous (Delirious)", "Toro Toro", "Big Truck" and "La Vida". Then he shows his versatility performing hip hop songs such as "Ridin" by Chamilionaire, and "Whatchu Know" by T.I ... whaaaattt and of course, reggae chunes for de bad man and dem standing in de crowd "... bad man forward, bad man pull up" and for de girls, "... dutty wine my girl dutty wine". Yes de energy was there, the hype was there, it was CRAZINESS! Zan performs "The Heart of a Man" and also Patrice Roberts comes out to perform the road march hit "Band of the Year". Machel and his band gave their best to energize the crowd and get them focused for the sexy Alison Hinds and the Sugah Band... amazing!

Rolllllllllll, "Roll It" gyal, Alison Hinds comes on and represents the independent ladies to ah T. She performs all of her hits from the days of Square One, singing tunes from "Faluma" and "DJ Ride" to her 2006 hit tune "Roll It" and Machel joins her for the remix, it was madness and what a lethal collaboration it was. And fellas, did u see her female dancers??!! But please remember what flags they BOTH had in their hands... Trinidad all de waaaayyy, but anyway let's not forget what Alison had in store for the ladies. Remember the fellah with the sweet abs dat jus wanna play he mashin up Alison, doh worry it was all part of de act in bringing someone else from the crowd to go competition cause de dancer was in fact a member of Alison's dancing pack. Ladies, yuh saw how he went on his head, de hand stand and de wine all in one on Alison, jeeeeezzzz and ages! And yuh should see how Alison break it down, it was her time to show off, she came on with her dancers and gave a lil move or two. Ok let's get back to the show... Alison had all de Bajans representin and she prepared the crowd for the birthday boy R-U-P-E-E.

Now we must also admit that the fete was real long because Rupee didn't even reach the stage till about 3:30 AM, imagine... hours of pure fetin. And yes the long awaited act, Rupee runs on the stage, inna frenzy, who clapping, girls mesmerized by his sweet voice, who wanna touch and feel him, hmmmm, only Rupee have dis kinda hold on the ladies. As it was getting really late, we decided to make movements but Rupee performed his hits... "Frenzy", "Insomnia" and "1 On 1" by the time we decided to jus jet. Partygoers still lingered but the RAM Tour brought to Toronto by CVR & Kolors Entertainment was indeed different and everyone left satisfied after getting their share of Machel, Alison and Rupee. So what you say, another RAM Tour? Ummm... can we get ah corn soup please, hahaha!
