Having been to Mascots Int'l Band Launch last month, we came to realize that since "Rakassa" falls on every 3rd Saturday of the month, the next one would be on August 19th, which happens to be the best day of they year since it was the day of the birth of {drum roll please} Collin from Trini Jungle Juice aka "Jungle Juice" to most of you here in South Florida. So what better way to celebrate than to invite some close friends and family to come out to "Rakassa" and nice up de place. The location (Oakland and University) is very central to many of us here in Ft. Lauderdale, and with cheap drinks it means not a far drive after fete done at 5AM... yep 5AM! So thanks to Nikki and Christine, TJJ was able to get guest list treatment for not only ourselves but most of the crew as well, and yuh know how we like we self on ah guestlist. Those of you who replied and did not make it, tsk tsk tsk yuh miss out, the 'Dutty Wine' show ... ah mean, the demonstration was worth the trip alone, well to us at least ;-)

Now you would think that since folks showing up for Collin's birthday specifically at his request, he would be there on time before everyone else, but such was not the case. Upon his arrival at 12:30am it was still early in the proceedings, with lots of folks still hanging in the parking lot, which caused the cops the make an appearance. Folks when allyuh come next month, Sept 16th try and find yuh self on the inside for us please, yuh know Babylon only looking for any excuse to disrupt we good times.

As the night progressed, more folks arrived, the place started to get darker and the vibes started to formulate. And the fact that yuh could buy two drinks for a mere $10 to $12 don't hurt either... "Bartender another Baileys for the ladies please!"

The costumes that were modeled at the band launching were on display again, and from the word on the street the ladies like the looks of them, and where the ladies go the fellas will follow! So doh bat yuh eyes twice, be sure to organize your costumes at www.mascotsinternational.com.
