Another Saturday night in Toronto and Trini Jungle Juice on de move again. After passin' through Carnival Baby, it was off to Memoirs of Soca 18 "De Carnival Edition" put on by Bryce, Curtis, Redd Rose and Dwayne. Held at Fortress North, we rolled up to the fete minutes to 2am and party was in full swing. Like Machel does say, "How yuh know when yuh party hot?"... in this case parking lot full, if you see the little corner we find ah spot to park!!!

Being a regular face among the crowd, TJJ was inside in two two's and place was hot fuh so... and we mean dat literally!! So yuh know it was straight to de bar to catch last call and to cool some of the heat dat was taking place. You could tell that DJ D'Bandit had, and was still mashing up de crowd. Big up Dwayne for bussin' what we like to call a wicked "Trini Back-in-Times Dub session." But, seeing that this was a Carnival Memoirs jam, feters got some sweet Soca chunes too... like Destra's "Bonnie & Clyde" and "Tremble It" ... Lil Bitts & Bunji's "Carnival Country," and of course you cyah not play last year's Shurwayne's "Dead or Alive." With no time to waste, TJJ got to work and cornered de smallies and limer boyz that were clearly enjoying de vibe for some pics. Ok Ok, we were limin too!!! hee hee...

As always, de vibe was sweet and much thanks to IslandBoyz for allowing us to catch some Carnival Fever and reminisce on de tunes dat mash up all de previous Carnivals. And better yet, we even get to jump up to some of the big 2k6 tunes like Iwer's "We Reach," KMC's "3 Miles," Machel's "Scandal" and Mista Vybe's "Ting 4 D Road."

TJJ rolled out around 3:45am, when lights come on and last song played... and you know we have to big up de corn soup before we hit de road!! (We promise pics of the corn soup and de vendor next rounds!!) Hummmm, where we free Memoirs of Soca CD? **wink wink** Next stop...
