Camera, Action was the theme for tonight. TJJ arrived at The Garden Sanctuary,
Center of Excellence at 8 p.m. on Saturday the 14th of October in support of Model
Facts agency launch... a modeling show entitled "Walk with Me with Style
and Soul"; sounds sensational doesn't it. On
entry there was a mini bar on the right and a table with finger food on the left.
Everything was 'on the house', so we planned to take full advantage of it that
night (with intentions of doing our jobs at the same time of course **wink**).
There was a modeling ramp at the centre and on either sides of this ramp were
chairs for patrons; who were divided into guests and special guests (special guests
meaning us... hehe). We were ushered to our seats, which were at the lower left
of the stage. We sat at a table covered with a white tablecloth and a big fish
bowl which had two live, yes live, fishes... niceeee. The
DJ for the night, Morpheus Entertainment, was to the left, not to far from
us, playing tunes to our modeling hearts' desire. The scenery was exceptional,
the lighting perfect (well it was not perfect for taking photos as the runway
was too dark, so we apologize for the quality of pictures) and the night was peaceful;
Mother Nature was letting us have our way. The event was supposed to launch at
7:30 pm, but got underway around 8:20 pm some of the designers were running
a little late. The
hosts Russell Wilkinson and Stephen Hadeed came on around 8:30 pm.
They introduced themselves, welcomed the crowd, who, by this time, filled most
of the seats and then proceeded with the show. There
were male and female models from all different designers such as Lara Creations,
Matrix for Men, KAJ Designs (Tobago), W.S. Designs (Barbados) just to name a few.
The male and female models walked the ramp as though they were in the running
to be Trinidad and Tobago's Next Top Model. Impressive!! The crowd, including
ourselves, loved every minute of it. There
was an intermission after nine so... we took out some more pictures, socialized
with the crowd and models, who were very welcoming indeed. Unfortunately, we made
our way out a little earlier than expected, being exhausted from the night before
and having to go out again early the next morning. MODEL
FACT The glamorous world of modeling... hmm; this fashion show turned out
as they would say in modeling terms - SUPERB! SPLENDID! MARVELOUS! FABULOUS!
But in spite of the glamour and popularity this profession looks as though it
requires a lot of hard work, dedication and sacrifice. A little advice to you
models (or aspiring models) from TJJ... don't give up, when you get frustrated
and things don't go your way; be mentally and emotionally strong and well
not to mention fit to walk that ramp! Thank
you Model Facts for having us there and for taking great care of us. Until next
time... Walk that body! Talk that body! |
