Iz me again, de perpetually hyper Caublasian. We did pass by a couple other independence country beach bashments on de way. Look like de whole island was busy celebrating. Thank the skies that Appelton shuttles dem was running right and on time, cause me nuh know if me coulda mek it pond at road desso (and well, no need to argue over the designated drivah). Anyhow, we mek it to de party jus as rain stop, not dat it matter, everyone was in beach wear and de party was on.

Again, for the non-j'cans, Pip and Ting was also a resurrected party. It was one of the fabulous four parties from back in de day, every summer you had to reach a WET, Pip and Ting, Greaves and RAS, and Appelton did fin it back! (Thank you!) Of course, you pay you money for all inclusive and well, me always walk wid de belly so first stop was de food line. Bout half an hour later, we still deh deh inna de line. Mek me tell you again, Greaves (tiad of hearing bout it yet?) nuh have no line fe de food or de drinks, bredrin you cannot waste your party hype inna de line. Plus when you mek it to de front is one dry shrimp and a chicken wing wid half a slice of bread. Dred, drop de expensive food and feed people fasta (Go beg Greaves fe him chef)! Some people was well miserable when dem did get out of de line at last, so dat did kina bring vibes down a likkle.

But let me not get on me soap box about de fight fe drinks. Praises be to Sean and de links him did have, me nuh know if we woulda survive widout you. BLESS! Dem did also run out of cranberry and fruit punch for a likkle while at one bar (do betta next time sir, people pay dem good good money fe tings). Aight, away from food and liquor. Once you got over that misery you were on your way. Place did fill up QUICK QUICK! And me tink dem did have all of Jamaica's finest playing. Coppershot yes, and Richie D, Renegade, DJ Liquid, bway de list did go on. Each one a bring a Crazy Hype to de place. Is true man, good sound man is a perfect addition to a party and Appelton did a great job in securing de BEST for their weekend. Only ting missing was probably a Tony Matterhorn and a Stone Love (but den, me nuh sure uptown ready fe dem yet).

In all, ignoring the two hours you spend waiting for food or drinks, the music vibes itself was well nice, and nothing cyaan beat Half Moon beach as a party venue. Watching the sun set as the party was getting into full swing was one of those experiences which mek you waan just move back home. Again we did leave wid de sound boxes. Def will do it again. Perhaps Appelton should consider resurrecting our entire childhood and bring ATI weekend to Ochi (again, please please please).
