With Carnival 2K6 coming and going in a flash and people having real CWD (Carnival Withdrawal Syndrome), Fresh Outta Carnival was the perfect way to continue the euphoria; and what better way to relive the experience than at KoolHaus. With an anticipated huge crowd attendance, TJJ showed up early about 11pm to catch all the vibes and to check out de scenes. Slowly but surely the crowd trickled in as the temperature outside was no joke ... it was real cold. Did somebody say it was 'Spring' weather ... not here boy, must be somewhere else! :-) However, once inside things started to warm up real nice as the DJ's (D'Enforcas, Dr. Jay, Soca Monarchs, Soca Vibes) were spinning some sweet oldies for everyone to chip, hug up, bus' ah small wine or to just stand up and macco who was there and what they were wearing! Speaking of clothing, big up to NOCCE who had a few models on the inside wearing their original designs from their up and coming clothing line.

At about 1am, party was in full swing and the stage came ah fire with Red Hot Flames, formerly known as Burning Flames. And as the saying goes, "a rose by any other name smells just as sweet" - and this was no exception, they were simply amazing. They mashed up the crowd singing all their hits, bringing to life a very massive Dominican posse, there was no holdin' them back! With the stage still smoldering, big band Caribbean Traffik Jam, popularly know has Traffik, came on to fan the flames. Shurwayne! Shurwayne! Shurwayne! What can we say, "Release de rhythmmmm!!!" Oh gyad oye!!! Wheel dat one again!!! Well yes, talk about flashback!! We think everyone was back in de Savannah, St. James or South Quay. The reigning Groovy Soca Monarch and International Soca Monarch champ mashed up de place with his hit tunes such as "Don't Stop", "Can't Wait" and of course "Tempo" with her majesty, Calypso Rose. With her on stage, it was unbelievable the energy that transpired in the crowd - it was fantastic. Everyone clean forget how cold it is outside. We can't forget to mention Iwer, who brought all his big chunes and de waaateeeer!

Now although the event never ram out, the vibes were definitely present. We love to see true Soca fans having a time and showing the artists and bands love from start to finish. Big respect to our Higher Image & Trini South Boyz people for putting this event together and letting us to pass through. They already said to get ready for a bigger and even better 2nd Annual Fresh Outta Carnival (F.O.C.) in 2007!

Well from the time yuh hear them announce last song of the evening, it was one thing not only TTJ's mind but everybody's mind (as if you didn't know by now) ... Corn Soup!!!! Next stop for Trini Jungle Juice .... somebody say Fyyyyahhhhhh!!!
