Upon entrance to Abacus's, a sleek and stylish venue, your eyes felt pleased at the aesthetics of its trendy interior; with its funky bar area, and large seating space upstairs. This spot offers all you expect from a classy venue in the heart of the city. Once settled down, our noses tickled and tantalized by the aromas made by the fine cuisine of our friendly Busspepper chef. If you felt that you could battle de 'itis', you were presented with only de best food... you know Busspepper brings that food like your granny makes; that touches that spot way down in the corner of your belly!! Oooooh..... so sweet!! Wha Hoppie say, "She only want to Eat Eat Eat Eat Eat Eat .... every month every day, every week week week week week week...."

Once we regained our strength and decided to venture downstairs, we saw that this is where de party really starting. Soca pumpin, everybody wining... you could feel that warm Caribbean energy seeping up the staircase. The place was pleasantly packed but not so that you felt like you couldn't even buss ah bogle or willie bounce if need be, yet every corner was a new person either smiling, laughing, wining... hummm, maybe all of the above. The Gladiators boasted their range of the oldest to the newest Bashment/Dancehall, Hip Hop and RnB and of course, that Soca that makes it humanly impossible not to wine your waist like there's no tomorrow!! Even if you tried to find something otherwise, its was nothing but positive vibes flowing from beginning to end.

When the fete decide to end at who-knows-what-time, everyone left with that feelin of satisfaction in their bellies and in their hearts that we all went to a damn good fete. We telling allya that not returning to yard for the holidays, Busspepper NYE'06 fete will be the lick.
