Aye nothing wrong with taking a lil wine and a lil drink every now and again. However, behind the scenes of most of the parties that take place, there is often a lot of hard work involved. And with such efforts, it's always a sign of relief to promoters when they see folks coming out and show their support through thick and thin, and more important, having ah whale of a time! Well in response of this, TriniPULSE decided to return the favor by having a charity event called "CrewsAid."

Sunday the 15th of October was the date finally set for the event, as the promoters were aware of Carifesta celebrations taking place, and wanted to give it the full attention it deserved. The venue for this charitable event was the Jean Pierre Complex. TJJ arrived after 6 PM although this event began long time now, that is, since 2 PM. Oh gosh we're Trini’s... late appearances are always welcomed. Like Iwer says, "Tell them ... We Reach!"

Now the car park to the front appeared a bit scanty, but we weren't worried one bit. As we walked further inside, instincts proved us right. There they were... cars galore! Upon entering Jean Pierre, true talk... no lie, there were people all over. Crews upon Crews! All the different crews! Crews that we assumed amounted to... well it looked like more than twenty people in number each. There were people everywhere in uniformed jerseys with names like triniPULSE, Insomniacs, Crayon Crew, Xtatik Limers, Pulse 8, Dream Team, Hyrid Inc., Legacy, Entourage and Spanishlink. TJJ was told that "2 Ha Quai" and "411 Magazine" crews weren't there but despite that, their donations would still be donated to charities. Well boy, what would have happened if all the Crews were there??!! triniPULSE probably wouldn't have had room for us. Hmmm ... hehe.

Steelpan music was playing, everybody was jumping and waving big and small flags but wait!! Is this C2k7??!! There was a competition among the steelpan groups namely Angostura Woodbrook Playboyz, Excellent Stores Silver Stars, ECU Pamberi and BWIA Invaders; where BWIA Invaders won the title. Congrats guys!! There was even an on stage competition for crew members. Here a guy and a girl from each crew competed amongst each other seeing who could win the crowd's favor in the various contests. The prize for the overall winners of that competition was costumes courtesy of Mas band Legacy.

The sweet sound of pan music and rhythm sections, not leaving out the DJs, the food and of course the drinks were definitely entertaining and enjoyable. Oh gosh, people were everywhere with plenty smiles, waving, laughing and wining. Oh the revelry of it was too much ... Never! As if that wasn't enough, they even had their own modeling competition amongst the Crews.

Well to the triniPULSE crew, if anybody tell yuh dey didn't like themselves, they fib! Much props to you guys and to the success of this event. It looked like a lot of work but as usual you guys sure did your thing and did it good. TJJ definitely had ah time even though we weren't able to stay as long as we wished. Til next folks.
