We were supposed to be there for 11:00 am but after the All Inclusive BBQ the night before we knew it would be hard. So we finally got the troops together at 12:30 pm and headed down onto the tube to Notting Hill. People were charging up with Angostura 1919 and beers (some people mixing the two). Then about 7 stops from Notting Hill the doors opened and about 20 Trinis were waiting to get onto the train into the same carriage we were in. Well then it became the Soca Train with men bringing out song after song, it brought back memories of the World Cup in Germany. We arrived at Notting Hill and then sent out frantic texts to find the band and then luckily enough the band was only one street away. We saw people coming up the road looking like they fell in a Chocolate vat and so figured we had found the band!

We quickly got covered in chocolate and now smelling sweet, chipped up de road.

The music was sweet and the atmosphere was hyped as the sun had come out shining after a dreary Saturday, it was very much a J'Ouvert feeling as everybody was dirty and danced that way too. There was no need for security as people did not want to be covered in chocolate so no stormers! We could tell we reached late as some people looked like they had been drinking since breakfast, but of course we did we best to catch up. We also have a tip for ya... make sure you have a cover or a plastic bag for your phone as our phones still smell like a Mars bar!! Geeeezzaaan.

The band meandered through the streets with people jamming and having ah great time and eventually coming to a stop at 6:00 pm.

All in all it was a great day with a good lime, good music and ah good time. Busspepper's "Ah Kinda Jouvert Business" later.
