It's Friday night, and Trini Jungle Juice on a beat in Westside Toronto. This week, Gyal Farm Fridays brings us "Carnival Fever" with none other than Dawg-E-Slaughter live direct from Trinidad. So you dun know, TJJ had to represent to show our local artist some luv.

We pull up to Connections nightclub about 12:30 AM ... link up de promoters and we on the inside. We never knew just how big of a venue Connections was until tonight... the venue looked like it could easily hold a 1,500 or more. D'Enforcas was on the set warming up the dance as folks slowly trickled in. S.K.F, the host for the night, was holding down the mic getting partygoers in the mood. He was also sporting his heavyweight champion S.K.F belt (catch de belt in the pics)!! Court Jester then took over the 1s and 2s. Big tunes ah buss.

At about 1:30 AM, it was time for Mr. Slaughter to bless the stage. Since the dance was not ram, everyone gathered stage side to enjoy Slaughter's energetic performance, where he took fans down memory lane with his popular hits like "Pokey" and "Tic Toc." Of course, big tunes like "Represent" and "What's My Name (Slaughter)" had to buss. The fans were loving it. In between his set, he even had Court Jester (his Toronto selector) play a couple reggae tracks to change up the vibes... "Willie Bounce... Willie Bounce.... somebody say puuuul up!!" Nice vibes! Now, being that his newest album titled "Living Legend" will be releasing in a couple weeks, you know he had to give Toronto a taste of his new stuff. He performed big, big tunes like "Feeling Nice" and "Up In Dat." Man, dem chunes BIG!

After Slaughter's performance, he took the time out to take photos with the promoters, djs, and most importantly, his fans. A few autographs along with some promotional CD giveaways (which vanished like hot hops bread on a Sunday evening) for his new album, and he was off. Nuff respect to the promoters for taking care of TJJ, and large up to Mr. Slaughter for passing thru the T-Dot in this busy Trini Carnival season.

Definitely look out for Trini Jungle Juice exclusive Interview with Mr. Slaughter, and of course you can always check him out at his website www.mrslaughter.com.
