Yes all crew and crew ... "Big foreign dance come ah Yard!" That's right! Island Elite, promoters of Big Phat Fish linked up with Eclypse Entertainment to bring Miami's favourite Caribbean party to the shores of T&T. On Saturday 11th November there was 1 Event, 1 Night... 2 Countries. What's this all about??!! Well the event was Big Phat Fish de party. The night, Saturday 11th and the 2 country thing ... well the 2 fetes were taking place at the same time but in 2 totally different countries. In Miami at the famous Big Fish (view coverage), and in Trinidad at the 51 Degrees nightclub. How things sounding so far, interesting??!! Well let's give you a little more insight on the action taking place.

Now Trini Jungle Juice, showing why we are #1 for Caribbean Global Coverage, was at the 2 events on the night. As thorough as TJJ is, we even had a rep who has been to the usual BPF fete in Miami ah few times, in the house @ 51 Degrees to authenticate the inaugural BPF Trini edition. From all reports it was a thumbs up. Although, just like the previous attempts to simulcast two fetes, if you came there to see that, you may have been left wondering where the simulcast was, save for a few short clips of the Miami event and some stills up on the screen from time to time. The dance was nice though, so no scene.

Now a lil' run down of de night's activities from the TnT side. We arrived at around 11 PM and could see that folks were now beginning to flow in. Within the next half hour though, the crowd size changed drastically. The club soon became filled and from taking a look across the room, besides seeing the hundreds of people present, we couldn't help but notice the décor and overall ambiance of the place. Yup, be careful yuh doh get caught up in some of those fish nets. So real people here, the crowd nice and it definitely have plenty sexy women on top of that. What else we missing? Oh right the drinks! Worry not, it's a Premium Drinks Inclusive event! Johnnie amongst many other choices, were all readily available at the bar. Nice!! Funny occurrence though... although it was free drinks, there was never any big rush at the bars. Hummmm.

The music train was driven by XTC and Friends, who definitely ensured that this wasn't any social gathering. They without doubt had folks shaking that body all night long. At times even influencing a frenzy, when they dropped some big selections, causing nuff hands to go up in de air. Big tunes like "What I Want" by Synergy TV first Soca Star winner Fire Ball and "Keep On Dancin" by Trini's reggae artist Royal Dainties were some of the crowd's favourites on the night. At about 4:30 am things were beginning to wine down. Most patrons were making their way out, leaving behind de "doh have ah home to go to" folks, like ourselves among ah couple others. Things didn't last too much longer after that. With both bar and music locked off, the remaining folks all moved downstairs. Some caught a bite to eat from the doubles vendor. Others engaged in a little ole talk and the rest did like we did.... called it a night and decided to buss de tape. It was surely a night filled with abundant entertainment and tons of fond memories.

TJJ must as usual say special thanks to the Island Elite committee for showing us much love. Be sure to look out for the Big Phat Fish Trinidad Tour... Saturday Dec 23rd, 2006. Can't forget to large up Friends of TJJ for the Hops, black puddin and saltfish breakfast as we watched the sun rise with a mesmerizing Caribbean breeze. A perfect way to end a perfect lime. TNT Sweet!!!
