The skies are blue, the sun is shinning and we done eat our Sunday lunch so what was next on the agenda you say? It would be none other than the annual "All Ah We" boat cruise and we all know this is the perfect way to kick off the summer. With foot to gas pedal, TJJ arrived on the scene around 5:30 pm seeing that the boat was leaving at 6 pm, but we know better and dat ... boat eh leaving on time ent! Iz West Indians we talking about here, we don’t think Bryce (IBz) showed up till 6 pm! (Like he still on Germany time! lol). As usual the lime in the parking lot was a mini blocko, you were greeted with open trunks with blaring music, stocked coolers and people of all cultures doing what we do best - Limin!

Soon enough it was about 6:30 PM when the Captain of the Enterprise 2000 blared the ship horn signaling limers to start boarding... party moving onto de boat! Well we have to mention that we never see people close up shop and line up that fast but it was probably due to remembering the confusion that some encountered last time. Unfortunately to say, this time it was no different and we have to mention we were confused by this as you could not pay to park without showing your ticket so once again sailing was delayed due to over capacity which meant some would have to leave the boat. Sad to say D'Farmers Rhythm Section left perhaps with a few other members and no sooner the Enterprise 2000 was on its way.

Many people chose to lime outside taking in the breathtaking view of the Toronto Skyline, while hungry fetegoers lined up to get their share of the rice, callaloo and chicken they were serving on board, you know... before the drinking start (lol)! As usual, the resident DJ's D'Bandit, Soca Sweetness & Court Jester kept the crowd in full swing! The crowd was quickly brought up to fete mode with the sweet sounds of soca... ranging from way back to present! Vibe was sweet!! Of course you couldn't leave out the reggae session, "Attitude Gal ... One of dem, two of dem ... See the crew of dem, I will wine dem. Could a three a dem, could a four a dem, even more of dem ... I will grind dem." Run the current #1 tune on TJJ's Weekly Top 15 Local Chart - Dutty Wine by Tony Matterhorn. Well yes, this party was in full swing and people feeling nice!!!

It wasn't till about 11:45 PM we realized the boat was beginning to dock, fuss we were having a ball. All Ah We Boat Cruise is always a real time... nice people, nice vibes, everyting NICE! No wonder de boatride deos oversell out every year! Nuff props to Curtis, D'Bandit & IslandBoyz. And to end an even better time - de corn soup man was dey!! Whoooweeee!!

TriniRedWoman (TRW) out!
