Ay yi yiiii... is Saturday July 16th and the Doctor is in! Yes, the well awaited annual KOS (Kingdom Of Soca) WHITEOUT party reach! Now if you haven't experienced a Dr. Jay fete, know one ting for sure... get dey early... 'cause party go be ram!!! Flyer say doors opening at 10pm so TJJ rolled up to the event, which was held at the Medieval Times (CNE Grounds), at about 10:15pm. It was a nice change from the usual feting venues. Ah mean how often you go be liming and feting in ah "castle"??!!

It was about ten thirty-ish when people were given the green light to move inside after a thorough security check... and we mean THOROUGH...tighter than airport security! Now, seeing that this was KOS WHITEOUT 10th anniversary party, they were making NO joke with the all white theme. And you know what they say, "those who doh listen, mmm... must come out de line!" So a few patrons were turned away... heh, who vex loss right? Next rounds, follow instructions and everything will be everything. While all this drama taking place on de outside, TJJ was on de inside with drinks in hand and fetein' up ah storm. It does pay to go to certain fetes early huh???

As usual, resident DJ's MarXman, Court Jester and of course de big man in de business Dr. Jay flatten de place. The crowd didn't have a chance to rest, and if you didn't dress to sweat yuh was under real pressure!!! It was Carnival 2k5 all over again with the only difference being a sea of white with Caribbean flags waving in de air!! E-Man continued to pump up the crowd, and like Machel would say, "Get Mad, Get Mad Now". Well who say do dat??!! People was jumpin' up like dey was crossing de stage in de Savannah! Court Jester slowed the pace with some sweet reggae tunes, long enough for ladies to re-primp in the bathrooms and fellas to head to de bar... only for it to start all over again! As Dr. Jay would say, "Just Smile Nah!"

About 2am, TJJ decided to call it a night. But the fete still had energy to last at least another hour. Unfortunately there was some confusion with the Medieval Times security which had caused them to close the doors early, leaving many ticket holders outside and very upset. However, being very understanding of the situation and appreciative of his fans/patrons, Dr. Jay is making every effort to personally resolve this matter.

Big big respect to Dr. Jay and the entire KOS family for allowing Trini Jungle Juice to pass through and experience a WHITEOUT fete first hand.

For all the ticket holders who didn't get in to WHITEOUT this past Saturday, you have two choices. You may return your ticket to where it was purchased and get your money back. Otherwise, as a measure of good faith, you can keep you ticket intact and bring it to our next event - the KOS J'OUVERT - on Caribana Friday at Sound Emporium and get in for free. The choice is yours. However, if you prefer a refund, please return your ticket by THIS SATURDAY ...that way we will have an accurate count of how many of you will be coming to J'ouvert...if we can sell 1500 tickets in 2 1/2 days...you can return your ticket within 5 days ent?
