Synergy: The idea that the value and performance of two companies combined will be greater than the sum of the separate individual parts.

Here in South FL, there are a number of promoters of parties of a Soca flavor, giving us many options when the weekend comes. Whether it be the 1st, 2nd or 3rd weekend of the month, we know somebody go have something going on!

Well on December 17th, two of these promoters combined their efforts, along with their followings into what turned out to be a very enjoyable time for one and all. We are familiar with Island Elite who brings us Big Phat Fish, and Island People who have brought us Mix N Blend with Destra and Black & White Blend this year... both groups always provide can't miss parties, so when the two combined like Voltron from Transformers, TJJ had to be there!!

The venue was The Studio in Doral. With a relatively easy drive to get there, we rolled up about 1am... as per usual, we must be fashionably late. Now The Studio is an actual production studio, and as such, it provided a pretty large indoor area for the dance floor, with a lobby area to the front for the 'social-lites'. As usual, DJ Dorenzo was the main selector for the evening and kept the large crowd entertained with a nice mix of Soca and some classic back in times joints.

We have been informed that this will become a regular offering here in South FL, so we adding it to we 2006 planner and 'To Do' list. Speaking of synergy, we cannot wait for "A Night of Elegance" brought to you by Generation X, Island People and Fetebusters.com... whooooa, Ole Years Night in South FL will be pure niceness!
