Although the summer has come to an end, the feteing still going nonstop! This time it was aboard the Northern Spirit to enjoy the sweet Kaiso sounds of the Mighty Duke.

As usual Trini Jungle Juice was running ah little late so it was pure foot to gas pedal to try and reach the boat that was scheduled to depart at 8pm. However, as usual this party was running on typical island time... we eh set sail till 9:15pm!

Now this wasn't your typical jump and wave fete, as it comprised of a mature or what we might call "big people" crowd. We talkin' bout parents, aunties, uncles, tanties... with the occasional 'youngins' in the mix. So it was a nice cool vibe. DJs Badlad and de big man in de business, Dr. Jay "De Soca Price", still mash up de place. Well, if you didn't think the ole folks still had it in them to get on bad, you were wrong... dead wrong! They real get on... hee hee.

It was about 11:30pm when the Mighty Duke came out to sing and make us reminisce, giving us a good taste of the true sounds of Kaiso. But, it was the tune Thunder that had everyone groovin and having a good ole time.

About 12:30, the boat started to pull up to the dock... SIKE! The boat backed up and headed out to sea again... everyone was confused. TJJ learned that we still had about another hour on the boat... a mistake on the Captain's part. Doh! Now although some patrons were ready to call it a night at that point, that thought was soon forgotten by the sweet mixes thrown down by Dr. Jay... there's nothing a good injection of Soca Therapy cannot cure!

Yes peoples, Thunder On The Water boat ride was a nice time. Special thanks to Jay, Earl & Thane for allowing TJJ to cruise on board.
