This particular Sunday was REAL hot... 35 plus degrees Celsius (which is 95 degrees Fahrenheit), and we never see people run from sun so, but dat eh stop the true partygoers from checking out the NIP Davis and Associates Caribana Blocko.

Ah mean you cyah go wrong... freeness is always a great thing! The blocko was supposed to be from 4pm to 11pm, but because of the heat an' ting, people didn't start to arrive till about 6pm or so. And come 10pm they were still coming strong...yes, the event turned out to be ram!

In the open air with De Farmers Rhythm Section, stellar DJ line up, and great food from the famous "Corn Soup" man, everyting was "Cook and Curry". Even though TJJ was in contact throughout the day with promoters, it was 10pm when we finally rolled in de party. But in this case, the saying "better late than never" surely applied! All 10pm still had traffic jam to get in, and de party wasn't feeling like it only had one more hour to go. It was in definite full swing, all the way till 11pm, when the DJ's had shut down but De Farmers held the fort till everyone left.

All in all, it was a very nice family event, and a great way for NIP Davis and Associates to promote their Caribana Band and display their costumes. Big up to D'Enforcas for welcoming TJJ to this event... an' if yuh eh register for yuh costume yet, check them out!
