Last week Fortress was on fyah with the Carnival Nationz Victory Celebration, this week IBz & Friends give dem Watahhhhhh!! Iwer George, de big man in de business was in town to mash up yet another fete held at Fortress North... this time it was to celebrate the 12 years these guys have been in the business. TJJ rolled up a little after 12:30am and the party was now getting started since people were limin outside taking in the nice weather Toronto still had to offer at this time of year.

Now we have to admit, the party wasn't as ram as the previous weekend probably due to the back to back fetes at the same location or the "less expensive" fete going on at another location (we eh callin' no names... hee hee). However, that didn't stop the true 'socaheads' & Iwer fans from coming out and enjoying themselves... when we tell yuh they own the dance floor! Real 'Jump & Wave' behavior!

It was about 2am when Iwer graced the stage, kicking off his energetic performance with 2001 hit Let Me See Yuh Hand... han an ana nananananana hannnd... tek a jump up... tek a jump up! The crowd was hyped! At one point several patrons were on stage singing along with Iwer - real jokes! Who knew we had all of this hidden talent up in Fortress!! Ha ha. Anyways... Big tunes were heard from back in the days, we talkin' bout... Bottom in de Road, Tractor License, Property and more. Then, Iwer commanded everyone's attention asking what dey really want!! The crowd responded with WATAH!!! Well dat tune mash up de place, everyone went wild.

Big up to the resident DJ's on the ones and two's D'Bandit, Court Jester, Soca Sweetness and host S.K.F. Yeah, we can't forget to large up De Farmers Rhythm Section!!!

TJJ had a nice time and it was a cool lime. Thanks to Island Boyz (IBz) & Crew for allowing us to pass through. Next stop IBz/Trendsetters Scream 2 Halloween fete. See you there!
