It would have been real jumbie to have to pack up shop and head home so early. The location of the venue was ideal, as it was about 2 blocks from the end of the parade trail. When we pulled up, there were a good few heads on the outside contemplating whether or not they were going to partake in the last lap action. And with the music loud enough to hear from outside, you had some folks enjoying de last lap on the outside. Ent nothing wrong with dat!

On the inside, you had Sprang International, Back to Basics, Radio Active (live & direct from Trinidad) and Giselle De Wasi One holding down the music... your food and drink stations.... and of course your School Daze masqueraders having a cool time. All Rascalz masqueraders had no cover charge for the last lap, so you know what time it is come next year... sign up early!

The outdoor venue was large and never ram out, but had a decent size crowd to create a nice vibe. For a minute, it really felt like the school bell rung, ending all class sessions, watching a bunch of grown men and women running around in high school uniforms. So, why de fete called Wet N Wild??? Simple. There were water sprinklers to not only keep the massives cool in the almost 100 degree Fahrenheit weather, but to give de people what they came for... WATER... to get MAD, WET & WILD! Man wearing a scuba mask, smallies giving de fellas both their seductive and get-on-wassi wines, and people just freeing up and having a good ole time.

TJJ rallied out of de fete about sixish in order to get organized for Glow fete later than night. We would have shown love to Machel & Xtatik and Elephant Man down at Crossroads that night as well, but Crossroads management locks off all outside media coverage!
