While some where at the mall on the day known to the retail world as "Black Friday," Trini Jungle Juice was poolside in sunny Florida, well seated if not well treated, sampling various single malts by the doc, all-day-long. After all, what else is there to do on the day after Thanksgiving! ;-)

TJJ rolled up in Big Phat Fish, nice and toasty around 1:00am. Seems everyone arrived at the same time cause the parking lot went form empty(ish) to ram in 60 seconds flat. When we got in DJ Dorenzo was on the turns warmin up the crowd with some soca. He shared the set with a reggae sound (we believe it was DJ Omen) for the rest of the night. Both DJs complimented each other well, finding the right blend of big tunes. There seemed to be some issue with the system they were using, but we are sure most of the crowd did not even notice.

The bartenders were mixing some KILLER beverages causing Floyd (name changed to protect identity... hehe) to be in rare form, the likes of which we have not seen in many years, since that fateful day, north of the boarder, when the term "Toedragger" was coined.

Though the crowd was not as large as we are accustomed to in the old venue, it was a decent size and the ratio was also quite acceptable. Solo on the Bay is a classy venue with ample parking and it's on the water, which adds to the ambiance.

As always, we are definitely looking forward to the next Big Phat Fish! TJJ, over and out from South Florida.
