Trini Jungle Juice has come to look forward to our monthly jaunt to Big Phat Fish at Big Fish in downtowm Miami, but mid week we heard a rumor that they had moved to a new location. We said, "No way!!!" And the reply was, "Yes way!!!" It was the BIG PHAT SWITCH! Seemed like Island Elite figured we all needed a lil culture with our feteing, and so we moved to The District, aptly named as it is located in Miami's Art District (we just now figured that out). Well actually, the usual beloved Big Fish venue is currently under going a well needed face lift.

Now parking was not as easy to come by, but we eventually found a spot to squeeze in, and said a lil prayer that the car would still be there when we got back. As usual there was a bit of a line queuing up... like everyone find de place at de same time and were ready to party! TJJ was ready for a good party too, so we appreciated the VIP treatment. Having never been to the District before we had to take a minute to survey the scene. Music: Nice... DJ Dorenzo as per usual. Ladies: Nice... many and lovely as per usual. Drinks: Nice... Greygoose and Redbull as per usual. Though many things were the same this was definitely the Big Phat Switch, from Heidi's birthday party in the Red Room to the live model in costume for the Synergy Section Launch, to the couches both indoors and outdoor, there was a different look and feel to this fete and it looked and felt pretty darn good.

Though this new venue is temporary, we liked this spot. The art hanging on the walls, the outside garden area, indoor dance floor, the air conditioned Red Room... we liked it all. And from what we saw, everyone else enjoyed themselves... but they always do at Big Phat Fish, it don't matter where the location is!
