Sunday finally reach and the much anticipated All Ah We Annual Boat Cruise was here and well if you didn't know, this was the boat cruise to launch de summer of 2005! Now de tickets say boarding at 5pm and boat leaving at 6pm SHARP!!! So why was it that TJJ was now rolling up in the parking lot at 6:10pm??!!! ... cause we is true island people! ;-) You know... thinking, "Nah! Dat boat eh leaving on time!" After paying the usual parking lot fee, we were wondering where de hell there was room left to park??!! There was nothing but a sea of cars, each with their own music with everyone limin and drinkin... having a good time! Soon enough it was about 6:45pm when the Captain of the Enterprise 2000 blared the ship horn signaling limers to start boarding... party moving onto de boat! Partygoers were greeted by a sweet afro pan section and everything went smoothly with the exception of the 15 or so people that were denied boarding as the boat was already apparently at capacity! Real Bacchanal... even de police reach! But things were quickly settled and we were finally pushing off at 7:40p much to everyone's delight. Besides, with All Aboard playing in de background who have time to study all dat comess! With the weather being a balmy 29 degrees Celsius, many people chose to lime outside, enjoying the cool breeze of the lake, eventually taking in the sunset. Whereas the die hard feters were already inside & upstairs on the dance floor wukin up a sweat! As usual, the resident DJ's... D'Bandit, Soca Sweetman & Court Jester kept the crowd in full swing! The crowd was quickly brought up to fete mode with the sweet sounds of soca... ranging from way back to present! "Hold up yuh foot an jam... Jam!" ... vibes was nice! Of course, you couldn't leave out the big reggae tunes..."Out in da streets... dey call it murder..." Well, who say do dat???!!! The reggae lovers were feenin! Fuss the party was in full swing, TJJ crew didn't even realize that there was food on board which was a welcoming change to the constant consumption of alcohol. Did we mention how hot it was! Like that is the new theme for all fetes this summer! Heat! :-)
It wasn't till about 11:45pm that we realized that the boat had docked. Like Rupee say, "De session hot and we limin so... my friends tell me dey wanna go..." All Ah We Boat Cruise was a real time... nice people, nice vibes, everyting NICE! Hats off to Curtis, D'Bandit & Islandboyz. Another boat ride for the books! Next stop for the TJJ caravan... Unite De Nations 4! ====================================
