Bermuda Heroes Weekend ... Round 4

I heart Bermuda for several reasons. Pristine waters, elegant hotels (thank you Newstead Belmont Hills for a fantastic stay), friendly people who can party like there's no tomorrow, a fantastic Destination Carnival, and not forgetting my favourite... Rum Swizzle what we call the original Jungle Juice! It's an island that literally feels like you're on an island.

BHW 2018 was another action packed weekend, one which separated the true feters from the lightweights. Kicking the action off with Evolve All Inclusive on the Thursday evening, you could choose to join team "No Sleep" and pump all the way thru to Last Lap on the Monday. Personally, I was happy the BHW team kept last year's format hosting Raft Up on the Saturday and both J'Ouvert and the Parade of the Bands on the Monday. GENERAL INFORMATION
Duration	Thursday to Tuesday. BHW takes place in June, usually around the 2nd weekend. Monday is the Parade of the Bands.

Best places to stay	Bermudian Hotels are quite expensive at around $300 per night during high season. Airbnb is recommended. Many hotels and guest houses on the island offer a special BHW rate. Ask when you call to make a reservation.
Communication / Mobile Providers	Digicel and Cell One sim cards can be purchased in Bermuda.
Transportation	Bermuda does not have car rental agencies or Uber. If you don’t have a friend taking you around, you will use taxis. Therefore, it is best to find a hotel in and around the Hamilton area, as taxis are expensive. The fare starts at $5 when you get in the car.
Flights	Several airlines fly to Bermuda. The major hubs are MIA, JFK or BOS if flying through or from the USA.
FOOD AND DRINKS
Cost of a 2 Piece Combo	$10. Using our KFC global standard, a 2 Pc. Chicken Combo, which includes individual side & medium drink, cost $5.99 in the US.
Late Night Eats	There aren't many inexpensive places to eat in Bermuda. Our go to spots are Buzz 24 hour in Esso gas station in Hamilton city centre and Ice Queen.

Alcohol purchase	Duty free in available in Bermuda Airport, Gas/Petrol Stations. NOTE: Alcohol is not currently served during the parade. You can take your personal supply on the road.
