CROP
OVER 2009 COVERAGE
BIM.... We Love You! It's the last week in July, so you know what that means? Kadooment Day is just about a week away! The foreign TJJ'ers touch down and linked up with our sexy BIM TJJ Team early o'clock because we know from Crop Over Thursday til Kadooment Day ... there's absolute no time to sleep (or even bat your eye lids as a matter of fact). The fete schedule is getting tighter and tighter with at least 3 new comers ... Frazzled Mug Fete, The Bathsheba Experience and Sunny Side Up Breakfast Party (which was unfortunately cancelled). And based on their performance last year, the two fetes we have our eyes on this year are Crack of Dawn and Bliss All Inclusive "Summer Edition". A 1st for most of the team this year was Red Hot Cohobblopot and believe or not, arriving at The National Stadium in time to see the "Parade of the Bands" (thanks to the insane driving skills of our taxi driver) on Grand Kadooment Day. I still cannot understand the logic of mas bands getting judged first thing in the morning, way before the carnival jumbie even begins to take over masqueraders' souls through out the streets. But heh, tradition is tradition! So, without further adieu, here's our report card of how everything stacked up. And yes, we'll love to hear from you!
TJJ Guru Report Card for Crop Over 2009
The details behind this report card is posted in each gallery (click on event name). Please note that these events are premium carnival events (i.e. the best of the best). TJJ attended these events and rated them in our report. If an event is not listed in this report it's because we did not attend. We encourage you to add your comments (for both individual events and overall report) to make mention of your favorite event this Crop Over 2009 season. Crop Over 2k9 was a blast once again and TJJ would like to thank everyone for the great memories!! Congrats again & blessings to our good friends, Nicki & Nic, who tied the knot on July 30th. Yours
truly, << Main Carnival Photo Galleries >> >>
